The power of transparent USB
The extender combines VGA, USB 1.1 and audio to send these signals across a single CATx cable up to 50 metres. A recessed rotary knob allows for fine tuning the video image, while crystal-clear stereo audio and transparent USB 1.1 works plug-and-play. All USB devices are supported that fulfil the USB 1.1 specification on both 1,5 Mbit (low speed) and 12 Mbit (full speed). DDC EDID read and store support Modern graphic adaptor cards, even with analogue output, require the presence of DDC (Display Data Channel) information. Without it, they do not output any video or just lowest resolution without any option to change to a higher one. The Wizard SRX Extenders read the DDC information from the attached display and store it in the local unit's non-volatile memory. Dual Video and support for RS-232/V.24 as well The Dual Video version of the SRX series (ACU5052A) needs two CATx links to transmit all the signals. Additionally the second video link carries a transparent RS-232/V.24 port up to 19200 baud. Local access All local units have audio and VGA feed through. In combination with operating systems that support multiple keyboards and mice, this offers a local access option when plugging a keyboard and mouse directly into the spare PC USB ports. Small form factor The Wizard SRX Extender comes in the compact chassis of the Wizard Extender Series. This allows you to mount it side by side with the existing versions for PS/2 or long-range USB into the same 19" rack mounting frame (ACU5000A). Up to 16 Single Video Units or eight Dual Video versions can be mounted that way in 2U. |
