1976 Black Box founded as Expandor, Inc. Mails first catalog with nine products in six pages. Expandor Inc. becomes Black Box 1982 1984 Black Box Catalog grows into the Big Book. AGC founded as Tata Telecom Ltd. 1986 1990 HQ moved from Simi Valley, California to Lawrence, PA Black Box goes public (NASDAQ: BBOX) 1992 1994 Tata Telecom forms JV with AT&T in India Known for its 24/7 tech support, Black Box expands international presence and forms JVs in Europe, APAC, and South America 1996 1996 Tata-Avaya JV takes shape Black Box offers on-site data and infrastructure services for the first time. 1998 1999 Names one of the "200 Best Small Companies in America" by Forbe magazine. Number of team members hits 1,000. Black Box Catalog grows to 1,500 pages. 2001 2001- 2010 Partners with multiple-OEMs and acquires 120 IT service providers Avaya buys TTL stake, forms Avaya Global Connect 2004 2010 Avaya exits. Essar enters and AGC Networks Ltd. Is born. AGC goes global and expands into North America & MEA 2011 2014 Amplifies customer centricity through M3 approach: Multi-solutions, Multi-Alliances, Multi-Geos Expanding global presence, AGC acquires Black Box Corporation; Black Box delists 2019 2020 Global capability and delivery expansion with key tuck-in acquisitions in MEA & APAC Growing the global organization: One Name, One Brand, One Language 2021 and Beyond
