Black Box GigaBase 3 Premium LSZH CAT5e patch cables with locking connectors give you the ability to lock down critical network ports, offering three levels of security to choose from:
Red Pin: Locked—
Prevent unauthorized access and tampering of mission-critical and publicly accessible ports in government offices, lobbies, retail establishments and more. To lock down a port, a Red Locking pin inserts into the patented LockPORT boot of the cable. In order for the pin to be removed and the cable disconnected from its port, it must be released with a Removal Tool (KEY-CL). The Red Locking pins can be purchased in packs of 10 (LP50-RD-10PAK) and 25 (LP50-RD-25PAK).

Green Pin: Secured—
Prevent accidental disconnects in the office, manufacturing and industrial applications, and more. To secure a port, a Green Locking pin inserts into the cable’s LockPORT boot. This pin features butterfly tabs that can be pressed with fingers to release it, and does not require a Removal Tool. The Green Locking pins can be purchased in packs of 10 (LP40-GN-10PAK) and 25 (LP40-GN-25PAK).

No Pin: Protected—
Use without locking pins, the same as you would an ordinary snagless connector. Even without the pins, the rugged, hard-polymer LockPORT boot and plug are integrated to provide increased strength in comparison with standard connectors.

A robust four-pair 24-AWG construction features 50-micron gold-plated contacts for superior conductivity, and features LSZH rated jacketing that limits emission of smoke and corrosive gases in the event of a fire. These cables have connectors designed for an insertion and extraction life of 750 cycles, making for an ultra-reliable solution that you can count on to perform.
